NLFEA of Reinforced Concrete Beam-Column Joints (PhD)
Premise: Nonlinear finite element analysis of seismically deficient reinforced concrete exterior beam-column joints subjected to bi-directional cyclic loading.

FEA of CRC Pavements
Premise: Nonlinear finite element analysis of post-cracking behavior of continuously reinforced concrete pavements (CRCP) subject to nonlinear thermal gradients, general nonlinear contact, and dynamic vehicle loads.

CRCP Pavement Reinforcement

Simulation of CRCP Shrinkage Cracking using Abaqus
Automation of Finite Element based Slab Design (Masters)
Premise: I wrote a feature for GT STRUDL which automates the computation of reinforced concrete designs for slab systems based on finite element analysis. The command includes procedures based on the Wood and Armer technique as well a technique based on element forces.

Mesh Generation for Arbitrary Domains
Premise: I wrote a feature for GT STRUDL which automates mesh generation for arbitrary domains using triangular or quadrilateral elements. The developed feature easily handles openings and internally constrained geometry, such as lines and points. More details and graphics are provided here.
Marcy Pedestrian Bridge Failure Analysis
Premise: Structural stability term project in which the construction sequence of the Marcy Pedestrian Bridge was sequentially modeled to evaluate the collapse load under the progressive placement of the reinforced concrete deck.

Marcy Bridge Failure

Marcy Bridge FEA Stability Analysis

Marcy Bridge FEA Model Detail
Shrinkage Analysis of an RC Structure
Premise: I performed this analysis to determine the correlation between shrinkage effects and several observed phenomena in an existing reinforced concrete structure.

Shrinkage Analysis Contour
Burj Dubai Finite Element Model
Premise: Proof of concept model for the arbitrary mesh generator described above.
